Vendor Spotlight. “Rowan Conceptz”

Vendor Spotlight  “Rowan Conceptz” Josh Rowan is one of the premiere artist for hand drawn renderings. I also hear a rumor that he may have a booth at some shows in the future. Here is our 1 on 1 interview with Josh. Check out some of his artwork below after the interview.

ST: Tell us your name and company?

JR: Josh Rowan Rowanconceptz

ST: When did you decide to get into the business?

JR: In 2011

ST: Is this full Time or part Time?

JR: Fulltime

ST: Tell us more about your company? History/ history behind the name.

JR: I grew up around hotrods, so it was natural to get into vehicles. At an early age I loved to draw and I haven’t stopped. My mom always said, ”Boy you need to make a living drawing for people.” I’d always get in trouble drawing in class lol. After a few years of sharing my artwork on social media, in 2011i was talked into starting a page. I called it RowanConceptz. I always thought it sounded catchy. In 2019 I teamed up with Evan Steger with time 2 shine apparel. I draw and he prints shirts. Soon we will have the capability of selling prints as large as the original poster size I draw on. We make a great team.

ST: What were some of the struggles you had in the beginning?

JR: I’ve been fortunate I haven’t had many struggles.

ST: What were some of the wins you had that you knew it was going to work?

JR: Nonstop work. Customers coming in left and right. Rowanconceptz got over 50,000 followers and now we’re at 74,000.

ST: What do you do to stand out from your competitors?

JR: I’m honest, straight forward and demand perfection. I push myself every day I wake up to be better than I was yesterday. I surprise myself all the time with the stuff I draw. It’s fun figuring it all out. Personally, I think it’s because I’m old school and still draw on paper. People praise this all the time. My art is rough lined but cool to look at.

ST: Do you attend shows and if so, about how many a year.

JR: I try to get about 3 or 4 a year in

ST: Do you have or have/ had a custom vehicle? If so, give us an overview of what you own/ have owned.

JR: Yes, I have a 1987 Suburban named ”Snooki” I’ve had it since 2003 and it’s on its last makeover. In 2019 I cut it up, fat tired it and stuck twin turbos on a 468 big block Chevy. It’s going to be pretty insane

ST: Where can we buy your product?

JR: On Facebook – ROWANCONCEPTZ

ST: What is the future for your business?

JR: Nonstop artwork to cover the world

ST: What advice you would give to anyone wanting to start a business.

JR: I’ve got 12 years of drawing for people. Be patient and diligent. Only deal with positive people that want to see you succeed

ST: What do you think about the current and future state of the industry?

JR:  I think it’s better than ever. People are still having fun and to me that’s what it’s about.

ST: Thank you for the interview and do you have any last parting words for our

readers?

JR: Never stop doing what you love. Whether is being an artist or building vehicles never let anyone jar what’s in your heart.
