Living the Life and Printing the Passion

It’s December while writing this, and if you’re anything like me, you’re wearing layers of clothes huddled up near the closest heater vent. No taking the truck out for a wash, no beach towels or coolers loaded up in the bed, and definitely no windows down cruises planned anytime soon. It’s cold! The crazy thing is, I’m in Florida, so I can’t imagine what you northern truck junkies are dealing with as far as weather is concerned. So instead of taking the truck out of the garage, let’s dig into some killer stories about other custom truck owners that have the same addiction that we do.

Living the Life: Inside Street Trucks March 2026

Our cover feature takes us to Dino’s Git Down 2025 in Arizona, where thousands of GM trucks from slammed square-bodies to wild restomods created a massive brotherhood under the desert sun. It’s the one event that every diehard bowtie owner goes to or wants to attend each year. Also in this issue we have Travis and Amber Zinner’s 1959 Ford F-100 “Frostbite,” a raw blue-and-white patina cruiser with a Crown Vic swap that kicked off their lifelong passion for classics.

Heading into 2026, we’re excited for what the future holds, more builds, events, and stories from you.

Then there’s Josh Cyrus’s 1995 Chevy S-10 SS “FYRWOOD,” a 20-year labor of love with a blue body, woodgrain graphics, and a killer JL Audio setup, proof that persistence pays off in the mini-truck world. Jaime Silva’s “1 Low ‘85” 1985 Chevy C10 proves second chances work, transformed from rusted hulk to Lamborghini orange showstopper with an air-ride drop and tan leather interior. And Diana Everett’s 2016 Chevy Tahoe “Christine” brings spooky vibes with House of Kolor purple paint, air-ride stance, and a story of overcoming odds that hits home for any truck family.

For the tech lovers out there, Preston Hawkins walks us through installing a 4-inch Skyjacker lift on a 1974 F-100 4×4, showing how to add height and capability without losing that classic feel. Also, our C10 Parts Buyers Guide rounds up holiday gifts and upgrades from brands like LMC Truck and Thermo-Tec to keep your project rolling.

Heading into 2026, we’re excited for what the future holds, more builds, events, and stories from you. What’s your plan? Tackling a frame-off restore? Hitting Dino’s or LST? Drop us a line about your projects or events; we’d love to hear and maybe feature them.
