Shields Up!

The Stainless Steel Thermal and Acoustical Floor and Tunnel Shield is a high-temperature solution for controlling heat and sound in hot rods, street rods, classics, trucks and just about any vehicle. The flexible design allows the shield to be formed and tightly shaped around firewalls, transmission tunnels, floorboards and anywhere else for total protection from the potential harmful effects of heat.

The shield starts with a stainless steel reflective surface backed with a high-temperature resistant glass fiber to block heat. Micro-perforations control noise, while the innovative adhesive backing allows for easy installation. When you’re looking for serious heat and sound control, start from the bottom up with this shield.

Scat Modern Muscle Kits

Boring and stroking an engine for more cubic inches—and more horsepower—is as old as hot rodding. It applies to late model engines, too, thanks to stroker rotating assemblies like Scat’s Modern Muscle kits. The kits have everything you need to build big cubic inch GM LS, Ford Modular and Chrysler Hemi engines:

CNC-machined 4340 forged steel crankshaft
H-beam or I-beam connecting rods
SRP, JE Pistons, Ross, Keith Black, Diamond or Probe piston and ring depending on application
King, Federal Mogul or Clevite 77 bearings
Many Scat Modern Muscle rotating assemblies come fully factory-balanced and ready to drop in your engine block. Summit Racing has assemblies for these engines:
GM LS, 362 to 428 cubic inch displacements
Ford 4.6L Modular, 297/300 cubic inch displacement
Mopar 5.7L Gen III Hemi, 368, 378 and 398 cubic inch displacements

C10-GT Sport Chassis

Art Morrison Enterprises has added the 1967-’72 Chevy C10 pickup to its ever-growing roster of vehicles that can accept its bolt-in GT Sport chassis. AME’s engineering team employed 3-D digital scanning technology to ensure a perfect fit and other computer applications to develop an integrated chassis package that improves handling, ride and stance.

Made with rigid 2×6-inch frame rails, the chassis features 3-inch passageways to route the exhaust. It’s designed to provide 5-6 inches of ground clearance with nothing protruding below.

AME’s GT Sport chassis for the C10 comes with a 9-inch rearend with a triangulated four-bar suspension and coilover shocks. It can be ordered with a Multi-Link I.R.S. or an air spring suspension. Up front are Wilwood-forged aluminum spindles, TIG-welded tubular steel control arms and an adjustable sway bar. Coilover shocks or an air suspension are available options. A new steering rack with a billet aluminum steering arm provides near-zero bump steer and no slop.
