Aftershock | The 8th Annual Aftermath Gathering in Central California

Thanks to a few helpful colleagues, we were tipped off about a large truck gathering in Central California at a small farming community called Corcoran. This is the same location where Aftermath Truck Club has hosted this amazing show for the past 7 years. 2019’s event was scheduled on May 18th in conjunction with the city’s annual Springfest. The 8th annual Aftershock Show boasted nearly 400 SEMA quality builds which made for some really great content. With the help of many local entities, Mark Hernandez of the Aftermath brought in some of the area’s finest trucks. Central California is largely known for its robust agriculture industry, so it was only fitting that we would see a diverse amount of builds.  

What kind of trucks showed up? Just about everything you can think of from milk hauling tractor-trailers to slammed and body drops customs. Unusual mild temperatures mixed with the threat of rain didn’t dampen spirits, nor keep the participants and spectators from showing up. For hours, the custom trucks lined the main drag, rain or shine. Spectators donned full rain gear and umbrellas while the participants staged canopies and shelter to ride out the storm. Dubbed as a family event featuring music, food, local crafts, vendors, and many other things for everyone to enjoy. They kept coming in despite the rain and to our surprise, nobody was leaving.

A true testament of a tight-knit family-oriented affair and even bigger evidence of an ever-growing truck community. This show is truly a hidden gem and one not to miss if you are looking for a top-quality show. Make plans for next year’s show as Mark expects an even bigger turnout!
