Situated in Puyallup, 35 miles south of Seattle and 10 miles east of Tacoma in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the Washington State Fair Events Center spreads across 160 acres. It’s a facility that is open to the public year-round for events like the Goodguys 32nd Pacific Northwest Nationals and many others.

More than 2,500 rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks through 1987 were on display at this year’s event, held July 26-28. Sunny weather made for an enjoyable weekend, as the temperature remained moderate at a time when the rest of the country was sweltering. One of the largest Goodguys events in terms of attendance and participants, there’s still plenty of room for more vehicles and people, as the fairgrounds accommodates over 1 million visitors each year during the Washington State Fair, one of the 10 largest state fairs in the country.

While not all the food concessionaires present during the state fair were open during the Goodguys event, plenty still were, offering a wide array of cuisine for show patrons. One notable area institution, The Original House of Donuts, founded in 1959 and based in nearby Lakewood, Washington, opened a permanent location at the fairgrounds a couple of years ago, which has become a magnet for Goodguys attendees. In addition to its storefront near the main entrance to the fairgrounds, the OHOD has thoughtfully placed a food truck to serve up fresh handmade donuts to Goodguys attendees closer to the center of the facility. Now let’s see some of the trucks that made the show.
