Tony Cole’s Killer 1974 C10

TONY Cole of Prrdiem Fab in Long Beach, California, is a guy who knows how to build a truck that makes you smile the second you see it. His 1974 Chevy Custom Deluxe C10, nicknamed Prrdiem, is proof that a squarebody can be slammed and clean and still feel like a real truck you can actually drive.

Tony started with a short-bed Fleetside and went all in on the chassis. He fabbed a full Porterbuilt outboard parallel 4-link in the rear with Firestone tapered sleeve air bags and KYB monotube shocks. Up front, he bolted in a Porterbuilt Dropmember, control arms, and McGaughys 2.5-inch drop spindles with Air Lift Dominator 2600 bags and matching KYB shocks. The whole thing rides on an Accuair e-Level system with Viair 444C compressors and a 5-gallon aluminum tank. The result is a clean 14-inch drop that lets the truck lay frame while still driving straight and smooth.

Long Beach, CaliforniaUnder the hood sits a 355 ci Chevy small-block built by BluePrint Engines. It’s fed by a Holley 750 cfm carb, runs Flowtech mid-length headers, and exhales through a custom 2.5-inch mandrel-bent exhaust system with Flowmaster 40-series mufflers. A TH350 transmission and stock GM 12-bolt rearend with 3.07 gears keep it reliable and fun on the street. Brakes are upgraded to 11-inch discs front and rear from Little Shop MFG.

Tony’s C10 is the kind of truck that makes you want to grab the keys and go cruising.

The body is shaved clean, including the emblems, drip rails, front side marker lights, and stake pockets. Tony welded in a roll pan, installed United Pacific 7-inch LED headlights, and added Klearz taillights with LEDs. The wheels are U.S. Mags Slasher 707s, 22×8.5 up front and 22×10 in the rear, wrapped in Lionhart tires that tuck perfectly.

Inside, Tony kept it simple and comfortable. The factory dash pad is wrapped in gray vinyl, Dakota Digital VHX gauges fill the cluster, and a Pioneer head unit handles the tunes. He swapped in a set of Honda Odyssey second-row bucket seats recovered in gray vinyl by Eddy and Son Upholstery. A Vintage Air SureFit system keeps the cab cool on those hot California days.

It’s built right, it drives great, and it proves that with some time in the garage, you can turn an old squarebody into something special.
