THIS squarebody, known as Big Booty, didn’t start life as a show queen. Otto Garcia found this 1985 Chevy C30 out on a farm, sun-baked and ready for work—not fame. He hauled it home to Elk Grove, California, with one plan: build a single-cab dually that lays body, rides reliably, and can cruise up and down Cali for shows. While out at Texas events, he kept seeing wild single cabs on big rollers and thought, why not bring that same energÃa back home to NorCal? Entra la visión—enter the vision.

The first item Otto spent more money on after the purchase of the C30 in July 2021 was a set of wheels—22s to be exact. Then, Otto sat down with Josh Ford at No Limit Fabrication in Roseville, California, to put a plan onto paper—lay it out, make it dependable, and keep it road trip ready. The truck rolled into the shop in September of 2021, and over four years and about $85k later, that plan became a reality.
It’s the backbone of the whole project, and the reason this single-cab dually sits right, rides right, and turns heads from Elk Grove to Texas.

Under the skin is where this one stands out. The frame is custom from front to back and is powdercoated Illusion Cherry, so some color pops through the bed floor’s sheetmetal window. An Air Lift Performance air management system feeds bags at all four corners, while QA1 shocks keep the truck riding smooth. It lays low, moves smoothly, and still handles highway miles like a champ.

Up front, a 5.3L LS keeps the dually honest, dressed with a Holley front drive system and Vintage Air climate control to beat the valley heat. A 4L60E handles shifts, while a custom driveshaft and reworked axles put power to the ground. Stopping power has been stepped up with a Wilwood master cylinder and fresh brake lines. There’s nothing crazy here, just the right upgrades so Otto’s big rig stays happy.

The outside maintains a clean and classic vibe with an LMC Truck premium grille and chrome bumpers, United Pacific crystal projector headlights, and a full respray in Granite Crystal Metallic by Raymond Campos out of Monterey Park. Underglow lighting sets it off at night, and the bed metalwork lets that cherry-colored frame stay on display—porque s×because that’s the flex.

Inside, AJ Motorsports redid the cab with cardinal-red upholstery, Alpine tunes, ambient lighting in the dash and doors, and an AutoMeter digital screen to monitor the vitals. The truck was soon comfortable, tidy, and ready for long hauls with Otto’s Slightly Altered Crew.

Big Booty has already been on display at Trokiando in the Bay, C10 Intervention, and plenty of local cars and coffee events. Otto’s advice for anyone chasing a similar build: be patient, don’t take shortcuts, and write down the plan. There will be roadblocks—no te rajes, which translates to don’t give up. For Otto, the most unique part is that custom frame. It’s the backbone of the whole project, and the reason this single-cab dually sits right, rides right, and turns heads from Elk Grove to Texas.
