Trucks on the Tarmac When the co-hosts of Custom Scene Podcast, Glenn Brown, and Don “Dizzy” Davis, got together and discussed putting on a show, they knew it had to be something cool. They made a trip over to the Greenville Downtown Airport in Greenville, South Carolina, to see if their venue would work. After seeing the location in person, they immediately knew that having cool trucks parked on the airport tarmac and the events and awards inside an airplane hangar would make for a cool layout. Fast forward to the show date, March 23, 2024, the forecast didn’t look very promising, but Glenn must have done some kind of anti-rain dance for mother nature, because on Friday night, the forecast did a complete 180 and all rain chances disappeared from the radar.Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Rolling into this first year show with cool weather and dry skies made it a great start to the event. The tarmac was packed with custom rides while DJ Maze kept everyone entertained. There was everything from Sumo wrestling to even a Little Debbie Zebra Cake eating contest. Yes, you heard that right—it even had a cool Zebra Cake trophy. With such a good inaugural event, it was a no-brainer to go ahead and book the 2025 event in the same location.
