Our Mission 22 Military Charity Auction Truck After two years of hard work and dedication, Street Trucks magazine is proud to unveil the completed Sergeant Square—a 1985 Chevy Squarebody pickup truck transformed into a masterpiece of modern engineering and timeless design. This project, with its heart firmly rooted in charity, aims to raise funds for Mission 22, an organization dedicated to combating veteran suicide. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter At the core of Sergeant Square lies the 6.2-liter Chevy Connect and Cruise engine and transmission package from Scoggin Dickey Motorsports, propelling the truck’s performance to unprecedented heights. Paired with a brand-new chassis from All American Chassis, QA1 front and rear suspension components, and Hedman headers, this truck is a powerhouse on wheels. The customization journey began with Salvage to Savage, which assembled and welded a custom bed floor, followed by a unique bumper mount fabrication to integrate stock Squarebody bumpers onto the custom chassis. Frenching in the front and rear bumpers provided a sleek, modern look. The fuel system, enhanced with Hot Rod Fuel Hose components, ensures reliable performance, while the Boyd’s fuel cell mount adds a touch of elegance. Fesler USA’s custom interior redefines luxury, featuring black leather with gray and black plaid inserts. Mission 22 badges embedded in the bench seat, door panels, and dash remind us of the project’s noble cause. Twisted Artisan professionally installed these components, including the dash overlay, door panels, A-pillar panels, one-piece headliner, and rear-side upper panels, creating a seamless and sophisticated environment. Vintage Air’s Gen 5 climate-control system, with its Super Magnum Evaporator, was installed to ensure optimal comfort. This fully electronic system offers superior cooling capacity and increased durability, making it an essential upgrade for the Sergeant Square. The final bodywork and paint, executed by Shane from Street Dreams Paint Shop, brought the truck’s exterior to life. The aluminum bedcover from Pro’s Pick, wrapped in black gloss vinyl with sponsor graphics, and the distorted American flag vinyl on the hood, add striking visual appeal. Sergeant Square made its grand debut at SEMA Show 2023 in Las Vegas and was displayed in the Motortopia booth in Hot Rod Alley. The truck will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson, with all proceeds going to Mission 22. Sergeant Square is more than just a truck; it’s a symbol of dedication, innovation, and charitable spirit.
