Up next GMC Sierra 1500 Gets Tech-Packed Update Published on November 21, 2023 Author Phil Gordon Share article Facebook 0 Twitter 0 Mail 0 Scrapin’ the Rockies 2023 Event Coverage | An Old Show with a New Twist Scrapin’ the Rockies first launched in 2011, but it only lasted two years. In 2016, a few of the truck guys tried to resurrect the show but couldn’t get it off the ground. That’s when Branden Krzywonski stepped in. After checking out 20 different locations, Branden settled on the Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, Colorado. It served as the perfect platform for a truck show, with three different restaurants in the casino, great amenities with each room, and, of course, the ability to lose your life savings in the casino. The fortunate part of Ignacio is that it’s central to Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, Utah, California, and Colorado. That prime location drew truck enthusiasts with their show trucks from all those states and beyond.Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Branden and his hardworking crew brought local talent to the stage to entertain the spectators and truck entrants throughout the weekend, including Brunch Dizzle, Signal 99, Red Lotus, Crimson Kiss, DJ Phish, Woozie Made Music, Bigg Dave, Native Thug, and YungBoogie MackTyte. Sponsors and venders included Altered Illusions Custom Clothing Vinyl, Gold Standard Detail and Ceramic Coatings, O’Reilly Auto Parts, The Plug Automotive, BodyDropt, Bagged N Nerdy Brand, Kinfolk Farms, The Pour Cowgirl Co., Seducti Veworldwide, Air Ride Industries LLC, GetBagged.com, Intermountain Safety Shoes, Addictive Lifestyle Photography, Naked City Pin Garage, and Kirk James Blues. Along with running the popular and successful group The Bagged Board, Branden has managed to add a very promising truck show to his resume. With just under 200 show trucks entering, Scrapin’ the Rockies looks to be a show you won’t want to miss. Branden, his wife Kari, and their daughter Tiearah, along with good friend Will Cargill, wish to thank each and every club member and vehicle owner who came out to support the official resurrection and resurgence of the Scrapin’ the Rockies brand. “We’ve signed the contract for at least the next four years,” Branden tells Street Trucks. “This show will be around a long time.” For more information and registration for next year, log on to ScrapinTheRockies.com.
