A Lady-Owned Dually with All the Right Curves

There’s just something about an OBS dually laid out on the ground that reminds you of a woman. Maybe it’s the curves of the wide fenders, but Maryann Graham fell in love with her 1993 GMC Sierra 3500. As the story goes, she almost lost it before she ever had a chance to build it. One afternoon after picking up her daughter from school, they were involved in a bad wreck that split a tree in half and came to a stop right before going over a cliff.

Since Maryann owns a body shop, she began the rebuild process of the truck by replacing all the body panels destroyed in the wreck. Next on the list was to send the truck to Bill Shutter and Jerry Kiesler, so they could install Stone Fab control arms and drop in 2600-lb Air Lift Dominator bags up front. After making the front sit where she wanted it, they began the process on the rear by installing a parallel 4-link with a Panhard bar. Finishing up the air-ride setup is a set of 2600-lb Air Lift Dominators, Viair 444C compressors, and a Slam Specialties manifold. With the suspension system complete, six 20-inch Eagle Alloy wheels with Accelera 255/40/20 tires were installed.

With the suspension wrapped up and the truck back in the shop, her husband, Teigh, added a set of 323 Duallysportz fenders. He smoothed everything to perfection and primed it all for paint. As a painter by trade, Maryann took it from there by painting the entire truck black. Maryann really wanted a bowling ball look for her truck, and Teigh told her the effect could not be done on a canvas that big. She instantly said, “Hold my beer,” and did it anyway. After countless hours of applying custom pink paint and Saran Wrap, the bowling ball effect was pulled off. Before spraying gallons of clear, she applied Prismatic Holographic Pearl down over the black and pink colors. Teigh then wet-sanded and buffed the finish to perfection.

In the engine bay, a Hummer 6.5L diesel crate motor was installed. Maryann again performed her magic by adding two stripper girls on the engine cover. Inside the cab, Maryann painted the dash and other plastic pieces black with the same Holographic Pearl used on the exterior, then cleared everything. The Snowden custom foam kit was then covered by Showtime Upholstery. Showtime also covered the headliner in Alcantara suede with alligator trim. Finishing off the interior is a Sony head unit with DB Drive amps, tweets, mids, and subs.

Maryann has one of the sickest duallies around, and she would like to thank her husband, Teigh Graham, along with Bill Schultec, Jerry Kessler, Stone Fab, Showtime Upholstery, Eric Cline, Dan and Amy Fitch, Ronnie and Katelynn Pelham, Josh Black, and Brandon Gayton for all the hard work and dedication while helping bring her dreams to life.
