Blanco: A Legacy Reborn Through Juanky Built Craftsmanship

A Juanky Built Legacy Reborn

IN the world of custom truck enthusiasts, what draws us together varies greatly. For some, it’s a newfound passion, while for others, it’s the nostalgic echo of childhood memories spent hanging around tailgates with family and friends.

Bryan Everett’s 1972 C10, now affectionately named “Blanco,” epitomizes a blend of familial legacy paired with automotive passion. This journey began with Bryan’s father, Bruce, whose career at General Motors started in 1968, laying the foundation for Bryan’s automotive fervor at a young age. Bruce Everett, a dedicated pattern maker at GM’s Marion, Indiana, plant, played a crucial role in crafting iconic vehicles and nurturing Bryan’s early love for cars with his own 1966 Corvette.

The realization of Blanco wouldn’t have been possible without Juan Ibarra from Juanky Built in Miami. Juan’s attention to detail and craftsmanship always set his custom classic builds apart from the rest. Bryan’s vision for a clean shortbed Chevy truck found a perfect partner in Juan, who suggested the classic Summit White paint. This factory GM color seamlessly matched the Everett Motorsports fleet. DZ Customs meticulously executed the paintwork, ensuring every inch of the truck was flawless top to bottom.

By 2021, Bryan, leading Everett Motorsports, had successfully introduced his wife and two children to the automotive world. While his first automotive love was a ’67 Camaro, this story is about the immaculate Blanco. Built on a complete GSI front and rear frame, every component was carefully selected and crafted by Juanky Built. The custom GSI suspension and air ride are beautifully tucked beneath a BedWood oak bed set on automatic struts for easy access, ensuring both aesthetics and performance.

Bryan’s vision was to merge performance with the classic appeal of a shortbed truck. Juan truly delivered beyond expectations with both.

Bryan’s vision was to merge performance with the classic appeal of a shortbed truck. Juan truly delivered beyond expectations with both. The heart of Blanco is a Ross Performance 383 small-block Chevy, enhanced with a modern rotating assembly, intake, fuel system, and advanced cylinder heads. FiTech’s EFI system and Weiand’s Street Warrior manifold ensure optimal performance. A custom exhaust system by Mera Motorsports adds a robust auditory experience. The original transmission was replaced with a Monster 700R4, paired with a narrowed Ford 9inch rear end and 3.73 gears, making Blanco as enjoyable to drive as it is to behold. Raceline Fugitive wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zeros, and Wilwood brakes provide a perfect balance of style and stopping power.

Inside, Blanco showcases a blend of classic charm and modern technology. A Snowden bench seat, upholstered in houndstooth fabric, pays homage to Bryan’s ’67 Camaro. The truck features a high-end JL Audio sound system from Andy at Audiotronics, ensuring crystal-clear tunes during Ohio car shows. Vintage Air keeps the cabin cool during long drives and is controlled via Bluetooth for seamless operation.

Every detail of this build was carefully curated, reflecting the dedication of Bryan, Juanky Built, and their partners. Blanco is more than a truck; it’s a tribute to Bryan’s lifelong passion, influenced by his father’s legacy and his own experiences in the automotive industry. This collaborative effort stands as a testament to the craftsmanship and commitment of everyone involved.

Bryan expresses his deepest gratitude to those who contributed to the build, including Juan at Juanky Built, GSI, Mike at Slosh Tubz, DeWitts Radiator, Rob Hartley of Hart Rod, Chad at Rendered Rides, Brandon at RAD Machining, Eddie Motorsports, Cartel Baggers, and Bullseye Powdercoating. Their expertise and support were invaluable, resulting in a truck that Bryan and his family will cherish for generations to come.
