Tennessee’s Favorite Three-Day Custom Event In its eighth straight year, the Sparks Show—held last Aug. 13-15 at the Sevier County Fairgrounds in Sevierville, Tennessee—has consistently shown signs of annual growth. This is one of those events you make it a point to drop in on to see a little bit of everything, from classic to late-model full-size pickups, mini-trucks, tuners, and vintage cars to motorcycles and bicycles. And they’re all here to check out for three straight days. Admiring the large number of custom vehicles is only part of Sparks’ appeal. There is a Friday night pre-party hosted by DJ Maze, plenty of club games to participate in all weekend long, a cornhole tournament, as well as the show’s much-anticipated limbo contest that always brings out the lowest of the low cars and trucks from the field. If you’re looking for fresh gear, there are plenty of great vendors for your clothing and parts shopping pleasure. Hammered Weekend Wear, Mini Truckers Union, Drop Em Wear, Laying Frame Candles, Mad House Designs and Gooch pinstriping were providing their goods and services to the crowd all weekend long. For Adam and Heather Tripp, Don Dizzy Davis, Lil Sparkie, Tater, Derky, Corey and Chelsea, Shawn, and the rest of the Sparks staff, organizing and throwing the show is a true labor of love. They are able to indulge on their admiration of custom vehicles while creating a dedicated space and time for other likeminded enthusiasts to do the same. The 2022 show is going down Aug. 12-14, so get all the info you need to know to at www.thesparksshow.com. This is one you’re not going to want to miss this summer, so you’d better start making your plans to be there. $10,000 Raised in 2021 Aside from hosting a car show that has become a regional favorite over the years, the event’s success in 2021 helped raise $10,000 for the Spread the Love Foundation, which actively strives to prevent teen suicide by educating students and adults on mental illness and addiction.
