KEVIN AGUILAR
We all have our heroes like dad, grandpa, Batman, mom, Uncle Jerry—family and friends who play a huge part in who we are and what we become. Whittier, California resident Jesus Aguiniga is lucky enough to have a tight-knit support group of family and friends all around him, but when it came time to slowly turn his ’10 Toyota Tundra intro the ultimate urban assault vehicle that you see pictured here, it took more than just the help of his friends and family.
WITH THIS MISSION IN MIND FROM START TO FINISH, JESUS PARTNERED WITH SOME GREAT ‘MADE IN THE USA’ COMPANIES TO HELP COMPLETE HIS VISION.”

The inspiration for his build came in the form of honoring all who have served in the military. Not just the family and friends closest to him, but also the millions of men and women that he has never even met who have fought to give us the freedoms we enjoy each and every day. The more time and money that Jesus put into his truck, the more he realized that all of the amazing companies and support he was receiving would be used to honor our military and the sacrifices that its members have made for all of us.

With this mission in mind from start to finish, Jesus partnered with some great “Made in the USA” companies to help complete his vision. With Matt Hutcheson leading up the design team, they chose to go full urban assault, right down to the urban camo paint throughout. Before Matt would get to work his magic on the exterior, the Tundra received a healthy altitude adjustment via a complete BDS Suspension lift along with Atlas springs, Airlift airbags and Fox coil-overs and shocks to smooth things out. Of course, what would a lift be without the right set of rollers? Jesus decided on a set of 20×12 Moto Metal Gloss Black 962s wrapped in 37×13.5 Toyo Mud Terrains.

With the truck lifted to a more proper urban assault height, Matt was able to spend some time laying out the camo paint scheme over the Line-X’d body. Matt and Jesus also decided to bring the paint scheme into the interior, painting the dash and and other areas with custom touches. The engine bay also received some matching airbrush action to tie it all together.
Once the paint had been sprayed, the crew bolted on the goods. Lights, grille, bumpers, ARE shell, AMP Research Power Steps and full Bedrug setup all help Jesus to stay prepared for action, no matter where he goes. The rest of the little details were buttoned up, including a Roadwire leather interior, and it was time for Jesus to share his creation with those whom it was meant to honor. A love for custom trucks focused to pay tribute to the men and women who’ve fought to protect our freedom to be individuals—well, you just can’t go wrong with that. ST
