Eastbound Getdown Takes Over Destination Daytona

Destination Daytona or Bust

Filling the car show void in January, Eastbound Getdown came OUT swinging to start 2024 off right. While freezing in St. Louis, I made the 16-hour drive down to Ormond Beach for my third year at the Destination Daytona Complex in Florida.

The bar has been set higher each year, and this year did not disappoint as the show brought out every flavor of truck, from lifted to lowered, import to domestic. These vehicles traveled from around the country to reach the Getdown in Daytona.

With a healthy mix of premium parking under the pavilion and wrap-around spots across the showgrounds, there was truly no bad spot to park at the Destination Daytona Complex. Up the stairs, you could find the on-site hotels and condos that allowed you to walk out first thing in the morning and soak in the view of killer rides. Along with the beach being just a short drive down the highway, this event gave you plenty of incentive to mingle a mini vacation in with a car show.

With heavy hitters like Gooch Freehand Pinstriping, Accuair, Lowrider Depot, Driven, and Mad Gear Clothing posted up, the radical selection of rides wasn’t the only thing grabbing your attention.

So make sure you soak in the print coverage found right here in these pages, and make Eastbound Getdown your January event next year!
