Putting These Builders’ Skills to the Ultimate Test!
A long-standing tradition in this great industry is to reveal a really cool rendering at the beginning of the year, and the finished product around the time of SEMA, the highly anticipated yearly event in Las Vegas. Most of the time, these trucks hit their deadlines—but what happens to them after the build? Do they really drive these trucks? And would they make a long-distance trip without mechanical problems? All show and no go may be the perception to some outsiders, but this year we plan to kick that assumption to the curb.
Throughout 2019, we will be following five fantastic truck builds and documenting them from conception to completion. The difference this year—we’re bringing a cross-country “Shake Down” tour, in which these trucks all have to complete within one week. We’ll follow a pre-determined path starting in Florida and stretching across the country to SEMA in Las Vegas. We will have a few stops along the way with single day show-and-shines so the readers can get involved. Ending in Vegas at our final stop, we will host a massive SEMA pre-party hosted by FLO Airride and Stafford’s Garage. More info will be coming in follow-up issues and on our website. Until then, check out the five main builds being prepared for this year’s cruise. Looking to get involved? Email the editor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
