JASON MULLIGAN
Memphis, Tennessee, has long been known for blues and barbecue. The small town of Millington, just outside of the city, is known for one thing, as far as truck enthusiasts are concerned, the Relaxed All-Star Event held every Labor Day weekend for the past decade. The hundreds of high-quality custom cars and trucks that venture out from all over the country make the event a must-attend on everyone’s calendar. The folks in Relaxed Atmosphere try to make things laidback and fun with club games, raffle prizes and custom-made awards. Last year, freak storms, including a tornado Saturday night, did not dissuade show-goers from attending the weekend-long event held at the USA Baseball Stadium.

After the tornado watch and thunderstorms on Saturday cancelled the nighttime drag session, Sunday morning ushered in sunny skies and another fun-filled show day that culminated in the award ceremony featuring many custom awards. Best of Show went to Josh Liley’s clean, LS-powered crew cab C/K truck. A portion of the show’s proceeds was donated to the ALS Association.
This year’s event will mark the 10th anniversary, so make sure to attend and bring your A game. Check out Relaxedall starevent.com and Relaxed All-Star Event on Facebook for more information. ST
