Weld-In Front Suspensions
Art Morrison Enterprises offers weld-in front suspensions in a variety of widths. To determine which is best suited to your truck, you’ll need to determine the distance from the outside of the right frame rail to the outside of the left frame rail. This distance is shown on the left side of the adjacent chart. On the right side of the chart you’ll see the track width for the corresponding assembly. Track width is determined from hub-to-hub. Please also consider wheel size and offset when determining width.

Pro-Fit Kit for 5-Speed ’67-79 F-100s
From American Powertrain comes this 1967-’79 Ford F-100 5-Speed Pro-Fit Kit. It offers a 30-50% increase in fuel economy, reduced NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), and low RPM cruising for greatly reduced driver fatigue and an improved highway driving experience. Reduced wear and cooler operating temperatures may lead to the engine’s longer life.
The TKX gear ratios are as follows: Wide Ratio—3.27, 1.98, 1.34, 1.00, 0.72; Close Ratio—2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1.00, 0.68 OR 0.81 5th. A stock Ford 4-speed bell can be used, but it will require an adapter plate for Ford TKX. New Ford TKX style bellhousings are available.

The 428 Twin Turbo Windsor is something Nelson Racing Engines has been refining for more than 10 years. This Twin-Turbo Ford is a full street engine using a proprietary hydraulic cam, which means you will never adjust valves. The company’s new electronics make this one of the nicest-driving Fords it’s ever done. The NRE team spent countless hours working on combinations designed around detonation resistance, which the Fords are known for. This makes 1,000 hp on 91 octane and 1,500 on race gas. The classic Ford F-100 and F-150 platforms present some unique challenges when setting out to build an coilover or air-suspension system that delivers the ride and handling people have come to expect from Ridetech. In response, the company has introduced a complete 1965-70 coilover and air-suspension system.
1965-1979 Front Suspension:
- Removes bulky, heavy, poor handling twin I-beam suspension
