The Whole Crew: Family First in This ’60 F-850

When you’re a welder by trade, you can kind of just cut stuff apart, add some other stuff, and then weld it all together to make new stuff. And while it’s great to get paid to do it, it’s even better to have some downtime to put those skills to use on personal projects—like Sergio Cueto’s ’60 F-850. When he decided to tackle another build to replace his ’59 Ford dualie, he wanted to make sure he had room for the whole family.

Band of Brothers

After checking out Battle in Bama a few years ago, Carlos Galnares started in on his adventure in trying to locate a GMC Sierra single cab. After some very aggressive searching, a white ’19 single cab was located. Carlos then made plans to have it delivered to Phat Phabz so the trans-formation could begin. Shop owner Jake McKiddie had the goal of building Carlos’s GMC to be the first bodied ’19 single cab on 28-inch Intro Billets and show it at the 2019 SEMA show.

Dreaming of Red

A few of the many delights of any truck enthusiast are the possibilities and fantasies that we carry as children. Whether it’s posters on the walls of our rooms or Hot Wheels that we “modi-fied” in the living room against our parents’ wishes, we grew up with fantasies about what we wanted to drive. Efrain Valdez of Manor, Texas, had his dream truck in mind since he was 8 years old. His dream was to own a two-door Chevy Tahoe. But with the emergence of the rapidly selling Chevy Tahoe in the four-door version, it looked like his dream might never come to fruition.

’77 C10 Scottsdale

Brian Wojcik is the lucky owner of this killer patina-clad ’77 C10 Scottsdale, as well as half-owner of the very shop that built it. Brian currently resides in Las Vegas, but the shop that he is very much invested in, Smoky Mountain Rod & Customs, is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Sure, that’s a big piece of space that stands in his way, but luckily Brian found himself a great partner in Rob Perry. The two are able to get together, make things happen and bridge that nearly 2,000-mile gap with constant communication and a likeminded devotion to creating the coolest custom vehicles.
