75 Chrome Shop Truck Show
The 75 Chrome Shop Truck Show is an annual event held at the 75 Chrome Shop in Wildwood, Florida. The event is dedicated to showcasing custom trucks from all over the country and attracts truck enthusiasts, drivers, and families alike. The event features a truck beauty contest known as the “Pride and Polish,” live music, food vendors, and more.
No newcomer to custom trucks, Dewayne Stephens has owned a few Blazers and knows what he likes and doesn’t like about them. That’s not to say that he doesn’t appreciate a nice, completely original example, but modernized Blazers are where it’s at in his mind.
Once again, Orange Beach Invasion pre-registrations reached their max for the 2023 event. With this being a pre-reg only show, the show was at full capacity even before it officially be-gan! Held in Orange Beach, Alabama, the showgrounds were as beautiful as the rides themselves.
“I originally built this truck to keep my hands busy,” says Jason Medina of Deltona, Florida. “I told my mom that someday I wanted to make my S-10 look like something I was seeing in all the magazines. She pushed me to do so, and I promised her that I would get here one day. I didn’t realize it would take me 20 years to reach this point, but I needed to scrap what I did as a kid and start all over with a fresh rebuild on my truck.”
For the 18th year, Ben Miller and his hardworking team have put together an extremely successful show. Lone Oak, Texas, just an hour from Dallas at Wind Point Park, a 180-acre private RV park and resort, is home to the annual Turkey Drag Car and Truck Show. Lone Oak, which has a recorded population of 598 residents, saw 857 registered vehicles and nearly 2,000 spectators for the busy weekend show. Although the temperatures were in the mid 50s, even the cold weather couldn’t deter the dedicated truck enthusiasts.
