The Trim An OBS Deserves

The days of buying a roll of molding and cutting it yourself are over. There is no need to measure, and no need to worry about the angled door cut. MVP Moldings will take care of that service for you by providing a pre-cut molding kit for your OBS truck. This is not just for single cabs but any OBS truck: extended cabs, 2- and 4-door Tahoes, Suburbans, crew cabs, and Blazers as well. Today, we will be showing you step-by-step how to install an MVP Moldings kit.

Unpack the molding kit and lay the moldings flat on the floor to prepare them for the install (a heat gun can also be used).
Clean all surface areas with water before installing.
Use a cross-line laser level kit or a string to follow the body lines to make sure the moldings are installed straight.
Install from fender molding first, #1 driver side and #6 passenger side. Remove the top part of the molding’s double-sided tape to stick the molding to the body. Once aligned, you can remove the rest of the molding tape.
Install cab molding #3 or #8 on the passenger side.
Install door moldings #2 and #7 on the passenger side.
Install bed molding #4 and #9 on the passenger side.
Install rear bed molding #5 and #10 on the passenger side.
