Living the Life and Printing the Passion
There’s nothing like summer for getting elbow-deep in a truck project. Long days, cold drinks, and that itch to finish what you started last winter. Around here, we know the feeling well. This month’s issue is all about folks who didn’t wait around. They got to work and made their vision a full-functioning reality.
Long days, cold drinks, and that itch to finish what you started last winter. Around here, we know the feeling well.
We’re kicking things off with Tom Taxon’s ’49 Chevy 3100, a build that blends old-school looks with the kind of driveability today’s highways demand. It’s clean, sharp, and made to be driven. Then there’s Chase Calloway and Russell McClendon’s C10, “Old Mac,” which has roots deeper than the paint. Twin turbos, a junkyard LS, and a backstory that hits home— these two guys built the truck their way.
Adrian Barrios is putting it down for the slammed crew with “Low4Doe,” a 2005 GMC Sierra out of Cali. It’s got 28s, a custom interior, and plenty of flavor. And speaking of timeless style, check out this month’s cover truck owned by Doug Maruzzella. This ’55 F-100 is nothing over the top, just a classic Ford done right with solid work underneath.
We also packed this issue with event coverage. Orange Beach Invasion was wall-to-wall with wild paint, billet wheels, and good people. The same goes for Southern Tradition, which had plenty of Southern charm and rowdy rides. We’ve also got tech on our Jeep Gladiator project with Skyjacker’s lift, and Project Rocky’s got a new CVF Reaper serpentine system for its 5.3L LS.
Now here’s where you come in. What are you working on this summer? What mods are on your list? What shows are you loading up for? Hit us up! Let’s see where your project stands and where it’s headed.
