Letter from the Editor

THE CULT OF personalities that harbor in this large but tightknit community of Chevy C10 diehards include some of the most passionate and determined gearheads I’ve met in a long time. “An excessive admiration for a particular person or thing” is the actual definition of cult, and we don’t think any other adjectives would be more fitting.

Analysts, debaters, diplomats and advocators are just some of the multiple personalities at any classic Chevy or GMC event. Including myself, we have the same unexplainable draw to these timeless works of art that were overlooked by the masses at their peak of manufacturing. Swap out a few parts and show one a little love and you’ll be addicted for life. It’s a relationship that can be personal enough to remember but valuable enough to forget—especially when you find the next pile of parts that can easily be reassembled in a radical way.

Our current personal project is well underway and starting to build excitement in the C10 community. This won’t be a custom-built big budget undertaking either. We’re talking about a completely bolt-on rust free resurrection now known as Project Raven. As you follow along, you will see exactly what we go through during the process of this makeover and what to expect when you start saving your own C10. Highly engineered parts from really reputable companies are the foundation for any build; if you did not see the breakdown for all the parts going into this project, head over to the website and just search Project Raven for the full list. Also be sure to subscribe oTn YouTube for video recaps all the way through the build.

There are lots of really great events coming up in the next few months all over the country, so jump on Google and search “local truck show event” to find something near you. Get inspired and get to building. Hope to see you out there!
